Michael Dickson became the Antigonish Farmers’ Market Manger in the Spring of 2018 and since then we have come to know Michael and his family very well as they put down roots and became a part of the Antigonish community. Presented with an opportunity they couldn’t turn down, the Dicksons have made the decision to move back up North to work in Rankin Inlet. Please join us in wishing Michael, Doreen, Abigail and Cloe all the best in their new venture and their new home.
As I sit at my desk trying to figure out how to write this story for the market I feel overcome with emotion. A mixture of happiness and sadness. I have decided to resign my position as the Antigonish Farmers’ Market Manager. It was an extremely difficult decision to make. My position as Market Manager has enabled me to meet many amazing people over the last two years and I want to take this time to thank each and every person I came into contact with in this great community. You all made me and my family feel very welcomed here! It is with mixed emotion that I have to say goodbye to Antigonish and to Nova Scotia. I will be relocating to Rankin Inlet, Nunavut in the coming weeks. So for all the experiences that have come my way I want to say thank you. You have left me with such a positive experience that I will never forget. Thank you for your support and thank you for supporting what I truly believe to be the best Farmers’ Market in Nova Scotia!
– Manager Mike
